What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Sites also use similar browser storage (localStorage) to remember settings. This policy covers both.
What we use
Strictly necessary (always on, no cookies). We keep two settings in your browser's local storage so the site remembers your choices:
- appsenik-consent: whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies.
- appsenik-motion: whether you paused the site's animations.
Analytics (only if you accept). When analytics is switched on and you click Accept, Google Analytics 4 sets these cookies to count visits and see which pages help people:
- _ga: tells one browser from another. Expires after 2 years.
- _ga_<ID>: keeps the state of your visit. Expires after 2 years.
Google Analytics is provided by Google, which processes your IP address to deliver the service. We use it only to understand how the site is used. If you reject analytics cookies, Google Analytics does not load at all.
Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights run separately from the cookie banner. They do not use cookies and record anonymous, aggregated page-view and real-user performance data for the site owner.
Your choices
- Use Accept or Reject in the cookie banner the first time you visit.
- Change your mind at any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer. Rejecting after accepting switches Google Analytics off and deletes its cookies.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works the same without them.
Changes to this policy
If we add or change cookies, we will update this page and the date at the top, and ask for your consent again where the law requires it.
